CAMELOT DISTIRBUTION’S “SAMURAI AVENGER: THE BLIND WOLF” SECURES THEATRICAL RELEASE IN JAPAN

Worldwide Interest in Film Continues to Grow on Heels of Best Film and Best Special Makeup Effects Wins in Australia

Los Angeles – (December 17, 2009) Camelot Entertainment Group, Inc. (OTCBB: CMGR) (”Camelot”) announced today that their DarKnight Pictures release, Samurai Avenger: The Blind Wolf has been picked up for a 2010 Theatrical Release in Japan.

“We are very excited and honored that our Japanese distribution partners have thrown their support behind Samurai Avenger,” says Jamie Thompson, Camelot President. “As this movie is in many ways an homage to the 70’s Japanese Chanbara films, it is especially rewarding to have it selected for theatrical release in Japan. This, combined with its recent best picture award from Australia’s Fantastic Planet Film Festival and the ever-increasing number of European countries securing rights to the film makes 2010 look like the year of the Samurai.”

In addition to Japan, Samurai Avenger is set for a first quarter 2010 release in Germany and deal memos have been signed for Australia and Russia. Strong interest has been shown throughout Europe, especially in the UK, France and the Eastern European countries as well as continued discussions with key outlets in the US and Canada.

Samurai Avenger: The Blind Wolf: A blind man seeks revenge against the psychopath who took away his sight and slaughtered his wife and daughter. Eight years after the massacre, the man has returned to the desert town, now a highly trained samurai swordsman ready to seek justice. But he doesn’t know there await seven assassins hired by his sworn enemy who want the bounty on his head. A Mitsutake Production, directed by Kurando Mitsutake, written by John Migdal and Kurando Mitsutake, and produced by Kurando Mitsutake and Chiaki Yanagimoto.

The film’s cast includes Mitsutake, Jeffrey James Lippold, Domiziano Arcangeli (Bruno), and Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction, The Fischer King).

Samurai Avenger: The Blind Wolf was official selection in Fantasporto Film Festival in Portugal, Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival in Japan, Cinequest, Asian Film Festival of Dallas, Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival in Korea, Idaho International Film Festival. The film won the AUDIENCE AWARD at Another Hole in the Head Film Festival, BEST OF FEST at Indie Fest USA, and BEST FILM at Fantastic Planet Film Festival in Sydney.
