Camelot Distribution Acquired Zombie Comedy that Sparked Interest at Cannes

Universal City, CA – (May 25, 2011) Camelot Entertainment Group, Inc. (OTCBB: CMGR) (”Camelot”), Camelot Distribution Group (“CDG”), and DarKnight Pictures (“DKP”) announced today that its newest acquisition, ATTACK OF THE HERBALS, sparked much interest at Cannes.   DKP acquired this zombie comedy just before the Marche du film.

“We feel that this is an amazing find for the company and the marketplace,” stated Camelot Co-President Michael Kananack. “ATTACK OF THE HERBALS is a completely unique and clever horror comedy that could just be the Scottish Shaun of the Dead.

Produced by Clear Focus Movies, ATTACK OF THE HERBALS follows two unlikely heroes who stumble upon a mysterious crate, washed ashore.  The locals find that the contents make an addictive herbal tea that turns the villagers into kill crazy zombies.

The film is still in post-production and due to be ready by late summer/ early fall.

Camelot takes ‘Heart’ to fest

Camelot Entertainment subsids Camelot Distribution and DarKnight Pictures are bringing a fresh slate to Cannes including Michael F. Sears’ romantic drama “A Warrior’s Heart,” starring “Twilight” thesps Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene.

Also set to screen is helmer Jonathan Segal’s Palm Springs and Rhode Island festival entry “Norman,” starring Richard Jenkins, Dan Byrd and Emily VanCamp.

Premiering Friday in Cannes is DarKnight’s “Poolboy: Drowning Out the Fury,” starring Kevin Sorbo and Danny Trejo. Helmer Garrett Brawith’s comedy is about an ex-GI on a mission to reclaim his pool-cleaning gig.

Travis Zariwny’s sci-fi adventure “Scavengers” stars Sean Patrick Flanery and Jeremy London.

Also at the market are “Skateland,” western “The Gundown” and “The Perfect Game,” about the 1957 Little League team from Mexico that pitched a perfect game, starring Cheech Marin.

Execs from publicly traded Camelot in Cannes include Jessica Kelly, Michael Kananack and Steven Istock.

Camelot Teen Romance to Screen Tonight in the Palais

Cannes, France – (May 12, 2011) Camelot Entertainment Group, Inc. (OTCBB: CMGR) (”Camelot”) announced today A WARRIOR’S HEART starring Twilight’s Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene is premiering tonight at Cannes. The premiere will take place in the Palais at 6:00pm  in screening room C.  A Family Productions and California Pictures production, the film follows high-school lacrosse star Conor Sullivan as he deals with his father’s death through his passion for his sport and a new love interest.

“The film has received a lot of hype since the start of the market yesterday,” stated Co-President Jessica Kelly. “We have offers on the table that we are excited to close and cannot wait for the public to see this great family film.”

Camelot Names New President of CEG and New Presidents of CDG

Universal City, CA – (May 10, 2011) Camelot Entertainment Group, Inc. (OTCBB: CMGR) (”Camelot”) announced today that the company and its core subsidiary, Camelot Distribution Group (“CDG”), are operating under a new management team.  Camelot Entertainment Group names Steven Istock, formally the company’s CFO, as President.  Istock will be overseeing financing, distribution, and production, as well as spearheading future corporate acquisitions.

In addition, Camelot Distribution Group promotes Jessica Kelly, formally VP of Marketing and PR, and Michael Kananack, formally VP of Sales, to Co-Presidents. Kelly will head the division’s operations, marketing, publicity, and share duties in acquiring film content.  Kananack plays a key role in strategizing and managing the sales as well as acquiring content.  The new titles take effect immediately.

“As Camelot continues to grow and change, new doors and ventures keep opening for the company.  This year should only prove to be stronger than the last with our new team in place,” stated Robert Atwell, Chairman. “The company is taking big strides, working hard at building its library with award wining content, as well as trying to green light in-house productions.  The future looks very bright with the new Presidents in place. “

Istock has substantial corporate, entertainment and international finance experience, with over fifteen years experience as a senior banker, finance manager, and film producer.  He has currently produced “A Warrior’s Heart”, starring “Twilight’s” Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene, and “Scavengers”, a sci-fi with Sean Patrick Flanery.

Kelly has a strong international and marketing background with eleven years in the industry.   Kelly came to Camelot in 2009 from Quantum Releasing, a foreign sales agent.  Previous to joining Quantum, Kelly was Head of Marketing in the Philippines at Bigfoot Entertainment and handled international publicity at Sony Pictures.

Kananack has been working in sales and distribution for over fifteen years, and not only brings to Camelot a wealth of knowledge, but also great relationships.  Kananack comes to Camelot from NeoClassics Films, where he released award winning world cinema theatrically in the US.  Prior to NeoClassics, Kananack worked at Keystone, Fries Film Group and AKA movies, as well as on feature productions such as “Godfather III” and “A Scent of a Woman”.

The former President of CDG, Jamie Thompson, stepped down in March; however, he is still consulting in sales for the company.
